Experiences

8 months (Sep 2022 – May 2023) as a caretaker in the Philippines

Maria Estila worked in a bungalow with 2-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a family of 3 with a 65-year-old female with Alzheimer’s disease, and she looked after her welfare, together with a co-helper.  

(Jun 2023 – Aug 2023)

Stayed home, looked after her family welfare and applied to work in Oman.

1 year (Sep 2023 – Sep 2024) as a helper in Oman

Maria Estila worked in a 2-storey house with 3-bedrooms, 2-toilets, a living room and kitchen for an Indian family of 6 with a 4-month-old, and she looked after her welfare. Daily she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the family, laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adapt to new culture and experiences.

(Oct 2024 – present)

Returns home, looks after her family welfare and seek new opportunities.

Cooking                           

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.

Childcare            

She is keen to look after children/ infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In Oman, she prepared her milk and fed her, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed her soiled clothes and diapers, kept company and soothed her to sleep, kept company and soothed her to sleep, attended to and assisted in her needs.

Elderly Care            

She is keen to look after the elderly.  

Pet Care            

She is keen to look after pets.

Hand phone    

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour.

2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.
