Leah Marie is a 35yo Filipino domestic helper.
She is blessed with 3 children aged 10yo(boy), 6yo(girl) and 2yo(girl) who she took care of when they were newborn babies.
Therefore, she is looking forward to working in Singapore to earn a better income and support her family.
May 2007 to Apr 2008 (8months) Philippines: Leah Marie was working in Philippines for Filipino family of 5 with 1 newborn baby (boy).
The family live in an apartment with 3 bedrooms and Leah Marie stayed with them as a live-in helper.
Her duties included attending to the infant's daily needs, such as preparing and feeding milk, changing diapers and showering.
In addition to infant care, Leah Marie also handled all household chores, including cleaning, laundry and ironing.
Leah Marie decided to leave the family to pursue her college studies and further her education.
Jan 2011 to Apr 2012 (1yrs and 3months) Philippines: Leah Marie returned to work for the same employer, who welcomed her back due to their prior satisfaction with her performance.
By this time, the baby boy was already 3yo, and the family had a new addition - a 2yo daughter.
Leah Marie's duties expanded to caring for both young children, attending to their needs such as feeding, bathing, playing with them, teaching basic routines, and ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
She also resumed her previous household responsibilities, including general cleaning, laundry, and ironing, and additionally took on cooking for the family.
Her ability to manage the care of 2 toddlers while maintaining household duties demonstrated her strong multitasking skills, reliability, and genuine care for the children she looked after.
She remained in this role until April 2012, continuing to provide valuable support to the household.
After her domestic work, Leah Marie worked for 2 years as a ticketing seller at a cinema.
Her duties included selling movie tickets, handling payments, assisting customers, and managing the booking system.
This role strengthened her communication and customer service skills and showed her ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
Her experience highlights her adaptability and strong work ethic across different roles.
During our face-to-face interview in Manila, Leah Marie shared that she can cook simple Filipino dishes and she is willing to learn new recipes.
In her free time, she enjoys watching movies.
She describes herself as honest, and diligent person.
