Maid Introduction
- Experienced in taking care of children in Kuwait and Hong Kong
- Able to cook simple Chinese and Filipino food.
Currently, Mylene is working as a canteen staff in the Philippines, while her husband works as a driver.
However, both of their incomes are low and not enough to support the growing needs of their family.
Motivated by her desire to provide a better life and education for her children, Mylene is determined to return to Singapore to work and support her family financially.
Dec 2019 to Dec 2021 (2yrs) Kuwait: Mylene worked for a Kuwaiti family of 4 with 2 children aged of 5yo boy and 1yo girl.
The family living in an apartment with 3 bedrooms.
She was the sole helper in the household and was responsible for both childcare and general housework.
For the older child, her duties included preparing him for school each morning, which involved showering, dressing, feeding, and preparing his lunch box, as well as sending him to school.
For the baby girl, she handled daily care such as showering, changing clothes and diapers, preparing and feeding her milk, and putting her to sleep.
In addition to childcare, Mylene managed all household chores including cleaning, laundry, washing, ironing, and occasionally cooking simple meals for the children like fried chicken.
She completed her contract with the family but was unable to return due to the pandemic, which left her stranded in the Philippines.
May 2023 to Jul 2024 (1yrs & 2mo) Hong Kong: Mylene worked for a Chinese family of 4 with 2 children aged of 3yo boy and 1yo girl.
The family living in a3-storey house with 3 bedrooms.
There were 2 Filipino helpers in the household who shared responsibilities.
Mylene's main priority was childcare.
She took care of the 3yo boy by sending him to school and bringing him to the playground, and for the 1yo girl, she was responsible for preparing milk, feeding, changing diapers, and showering.
In addition to childcare, she also helped with general housework such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, marketing, car washing, and cooking meals like steamed fish, fried vegetables, and pork rib soup.
The family also had a pet Shih Tzu dog, which Mylene helped care for by feeding, bathing, and taking it to the park.
However, Mylene decided to end the contract due to ongoing conflict with the other helper, who frequently became angry at her for not helping more with housework, even though Mylene was simply following the employer's instruction to prioritize childcare as her main responsibility.
In this role, she is responsible for cooking and selling food, preparing daily meals, and assisting in kitchen operations.
Mylene looks forward to work in Singapore again to earn money to support her family.
