Dec 2019 to Oct 2023 (3yrs & 10mo) Singapore: Lucejean worked for a Chinese household of 5 family members, including 4 adults and 1 elderly woman aged 99yo when join.
Her primary responsibility was elderly care, which involved assisting the Ah Ma with daily showers, administering medication, ensuring her safety while walking slowly or using a wheelchair, and staying attentive to her overall well-being.
The family lived in a 3-bedroom HDB flat, Lucejean shared a room with Ah Ma and was the sole helper in the household.
In addition to caregiving, Lucejean managed all general household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and preparing meals including dishes like spinach vegetables, fried fish, chicken herbal soup, and black sauce pork.
She also took care of the family's pet dog-cooking its food, feeding, and cleaning up after it.
Lucejean completed her contract but was released earlier as the family no longer required a helper.
Oct 2023 to May 2025 (1yrs & 5mo) Singapore: Lucejean worked for a Chinese family of 4 with 2 children aged 7yo (boy) and 3yo(girl).
She was the sole helper in the household and lived with the family in a 4-bedroom condominium.
Her primary responsibilities focused on general household tasks, including cleaning, ironing, laundry, marketing, and gardening.
The contract was terminated early due to a difference in work priorities.
As she was frequently required to accompany the employer to driving classes, Lucejean found it difficult to complete her household responsibilities and requested to remain at home to finish her tasks.
This led to a disagreement, and the employer decided to end the contract.
During the interview, Catherine shared that she wears a mask while doing housework, especially cleaning, as she has a mild dust allergy.
This helps herprevent allergic reactions and continue her duties effectively.
Lucejean looks forward to work in Singapore again to earn money to support her family.
