She has gained experience working with two employers in Singapore, where she looked after young children and an elderly dementia patient. She is able to understand and communicate in basic English, and fluent in Malay.

Her first employer was a family of five consisting of Sir, Ma’am, and three children aged 5 years and 2‑year‑old twins. Selfi prepared the children for kindergarten, assisted with after‑school care, and ensured their daily routines were managed with patience and attentiveness. She maintained the cleanliness of a 3‑bedroom HDB flat with 2 toilets, performing household chores such as sweeping, mopping, laundry, ironing, and cooking simple meals for the children. Despite facing communication challenges with the employer’s family, she remained cooperative and was eventually transferred. She was attentive to Ah Mah’s condition, managing frequent forgetfulness and occasional tantrums with patience and always prioritizing her safety and comfort. In addition to caregiving, Selfi maintained the household, ensuring that the 3‑bedroom HDB flat with 2 toilets was kept clean and organized. Her responsibilities included laundry, ironing, and marketing. Under Ma’am’s guidance, she also learned to cook simple Chinese dishes and prepared daily meals for the family. She worked with this employer for 1 year and 1 month, until Ah Mah was admitted to a nursing home and her services were no longer required.
