Experiences

2 years (2010 – 2012) as a helper in the Philippines

Wilmera worked in flat with 3-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a family of 2 with a 65-year-old female, a mild stroke patient, and she looked after her welfare, together with a part-time helper. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, prepare and cook for the family. In all these, she managed the work well. For her future employment, she hopes to widen her experience to be a better caregiver.

Cooking

She cooks Filipino dishes, such as adobo, menudo, pancit, tinola etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes.

Childcare

She is keen to look after children / infants, and she looks after her own since birth. She prepared her milk and meals, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed her with fresh clothing and diapers, kept company and soothed her to nap or sleep, dressed and get her ready for school, attended to and assisted in her needs.

Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the elderly. In her local experience, she prepared her meals and fed her, assisted to bathe and changed her with fresh clothing, administered her medications, accompanied her for outdoor relaxation and medical check-ups, attend to and assist in her needs.

Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.

Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.

2 years contract
