Mar 2022 - Jun 2024 Qatar, for 2 adult ladies initially managing housekeeping tasks in a spacious five-bedroom, two-story villa. Her role expanded when she was transferred to assist the employer\s married children, who were expecting a baby. With two young children already in the household, Elma provided care for the newborn upon arrival. She handled tasks such as bathing the baby, putting to sleep, and, after four months, independently managed all nursing duties, including feeding, diaper changes, preparing milk bottles, and accompanying the baby to doctor’s appointments. She would also help alternately with the other helper in cleaning the house. Elma completed her contract.
Jan 2019 - March 2022, prior to this, she worked in Kuwait for a couple and their three adult children, residing in a spacious two-story villa with five large bedrooms. Elma did housekeeping duties such as cleaning, vacuuming rags and spaces, washing dishes, doing laundry, ironing and preparing variety of meals for the family, including traditional dishes such as kabsah, mulkiyah, biryani, shawarma, majboosh, harees, pani puri, hashweh, bread rolls, chapati, and tashreeb. She finished her contract.
Mar 2018 - May 2020, Elma worked in Saudi Arabia as an all-around house help for a family of four, consisting of two adults and their grown children. She managed household tasks in a two-story villa with two spacious bedroom and living rooms on each floor, where she would vacuum, clean, wash dishes, do laundry, iron clothes and sanitize. Alongside her housekeeping duties, Elma prepares dishes, including white rice, fried fish, mashi, mulkiyah, kebabs, falafel, grilled cheese, mozzarella rolls, hummus, and fresh green salads. Dec 2013 - Sep 2015, Lebanon, where she served as house help for a French -Lebanese couple who lived in private 3 bedroom villa, with a large underground floor as receiving area for guests, along with an Ethiopian cook. Feb to Mar 2024, Mary Ann worked for a Chinese family in Hong Kong, living in a three-bedroom apartment with two adults and a toddler. She served as both a nanny and house help, managing childcare and household tasks while preparing meals such as tofu stir fry, broccoli with chicken, beef stew, steamed egg and pork, and spaghetti. Despite challenging conditions, including being working for 16 hours in a day and underfed, one a meal a day, Mary Ann manage to do her tasks. Her employment ended abruptly when the employer decided to terminate her services without providing a clear reason.
May - Sep 2023, Mary Ann worked in Dubai for an Emirati couple in a huge three-story palace with 14 other helpers. Her primary role was as a nanny to a two-year-old boy, preparing meals, feeding, bathing, putting to sleep and did playtime. Challenges with other household staff led to her transfer to an office role, where she faced harassment. She eventually returned to the Philippines due to the unsuitable working conditions.

Her responsibilities included preparing the children\s school uniforms, cooking their breakfast and packed meals, assisting with homework, and putting them to bed. She also provided special care for the youngest child, ensuring her meals, baths, and bedtime routines were managed, often sleeping next to her. Additionally, Mary Ann handled household chores such as laundry, ironing, cleaning, and even car washing for three vehicles. Despite the demanding workload, she fulfilled her contract.
Mary Ann cooks Chinese, Filipino, and Arabic cuisines. She can prepare dishes such as beef stew, broccoli with chicken, congee, tofu stir fry, pancit, spring rolls, menudo, adobo, afritada, dinuguan. Also biryani, kabsah, and samosas, mulkiyah, mashbook, kebab, chicken curry among many others. She can follow recipes allowing her to adapt to preferences.
