  Meljen 34 married with a 6- and 9-year-old, and she is the only child in the family. She wants to work in Singapore to support and save up for her family, and she is from Cebu, Philippines.

  She is a college graduate in BSc in Hotel and Restaurant Management.
  
  Experiences
  
  Meljen is inexperienced as helper, but she is keen to learn. As a mother and wife, she looks after her family’s welfare. Daily, she does general house cleaning chores, marketing, prepare and cook family meals, laundry, ironing and folding. For her future employment, she hopes to learn new culture and experiences.
  
  Cooking                   
  
  She cooks Filipino dishes, such as chicken tinola, pakbet, pork nilaga etc., keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. 
  
  Childcare
  
  She is keen to look after children/ infants, and she looks after her own since birth. She prepares their milk and meals, bathe, dress and send them to-and-fro from school, accompany them for outdoor activities, tutor and supervise their schoolwork, attend to and assist in their daily needs.
  
  Elderly Care
  
  She is keen to look after the elderly. 
  
  Pet Care
  
  She is keen to look after pets and back home, she feed local dogs, and cats, keep clean the pet areas.
  
  Hand phone
  
  She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.
  
  Off-day
  
  The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.
  
  2 years contract
  
  She is aware of the 2-year contract.
  
  Recommendation
  
  In summary, Meljen is mature and ready to take on new challenge. Being a first timer in Singapore, it may not be easy for her to understand employer’s needs, however, we believe with enough time, proper guidance and training, she will be a good help in your family.
