Janet Boctil Baitan is a 45-year-old Filipino domestic helper with 13 years of experience working in Singaporean households. She handles housekeeping, grocery shopping, childcare, elderly care, and disability support. Her routine includes cooking diverse dishes, laundry management, ironing, and additional tasks like gardening, and car washing. She is available to start work immediately.
Mar 2017 to July 2025. For an American–Singaporean couple residing in a four-bedroom HDB flat with three children aged 8 months, 4 years, and 7 years, she provided full-time infant and childcare support for all three minors. Her daily responsibilities included school drop-offs and pick-ups, feeding, bathing, dressing, changing diapers, putting the children to bed, and supervising their activities. In addition to childcare, she managed household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, and menu planning. She prepared a variety of meals, specially during weekends, as his employer would host regular dinner for 16 colleagues and guests, dishes would include pork ribs, grilled chicken barbeque, minced pork with tofu, salmon with barbeque sauce, chicken wings, lasagna, chicken rice, or braised pork. Her employment ended due to urgent personal family matters requiring her to return home.
Nov 2016 - Mar 2017. Worked as a Domestic Helper for a Chinese–Singaporean family residing in an HDB flat, assisting a household of two adults and two children aged 1 and 3 years. Responsibilities included infant care, feeding, bathing, diaper changing and engaging the children in activities, as well as full house cleaning, laundry, ironing, grocery shopping, and car washing. She also assisted in meal preparation under the guidance of her employer’s mother. Requested a transfer due to inadequate rest and being reassigned to the employer’s mother’s residence daily from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., along with insufficient food provisions, requiring her to purchase her own meals.
Sep 2012 - Sep 2016. For a Chinese family in a three-bedroom HDB flat, sharing a room with the employer’s elderly mother. Supported a household of five adults, including the elderly parents and an elderly uncle, as well as two children aged 5 and 7 years. Duties included childcare, school drop-offs and pick-ups, taking them to playdates, assisted in their hygiene practices and preparing their baths, making lunchboxes containing items such as fruit, bread, grapes, and juice and supervision during childplays. More focused on childcare activities alongside thorough house cleaning, laundry, and ironing. Assisted with meal preparation and grocery shopping under the supervision of the employer’s mother. Completed contract after four years of service.
