PHILPPINES (2003 – 2004), she took her first job as a domestic helper in the Philippines. She worked for a Filipino family, living in a four-room bungalow, and her main responsibility was caring for a 70-year-old elderly woman with a medical condition. It was a meaningful experience that taught her patience and attentiveness in caregiving.

SINGAPORE ( June 2010 – Apr 2022) Precilda took a leap of faith and moved to Singapore—a place that would become her second home for the next 13 years. Her first employer was a Chinese family living in a spacious five-bedroom landed property. The household included a couple, their three young children (ages 6, 4, and 1), and three dogs. She worked as an all-around helper, performing household duties such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, marketing, cooking, pet care, car washing, and childcare.

SINGAPORE ( October to December 2022), she worked for another Chinese family in a five-bedroom condominium. This time, she was part of a two-maid household and was specifically assigned to cooking for the couple—a task she handled with skill and care.

SINGAPORE ( December 2022 – December 2023), she transferred to an Indian family living in a four-bedroom HDB flat. The family consisted of a couple and their two adult children. Once again, Precilda took on the role of all-around helper, managing the household and caring for the family’s dog.

SINGAPORE ( Apr 2024 – June 2025) was her most recent employment began, when she joined another Chinese family living in a large three-storey, nine-bedroom landed home. The family included a couple and their three children (ages 12, 10, and 8). She worked alongside another helper, sharing responsibilities such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, marketing, cooking, childcare, and car washing.

Now back in the Philippines, Precilda is currently a stay-at-home wife, managing her own household while waiting for her next opportunity abroad.

Through the years, she has developed a deep preference for caring for children.

While she enjoys childcare, she is also open and willing to care for the elderly, and is prepared to receive training for direct nursing care, if needed.

In the kitchen, Precilda is skilled in preparing and cooking Filipino and Chinese dishes, and she is always open to learning new recipes.

She completed her secondary education at San Nicardo National High School in 1999. Determined to further her studies, she pursued a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce at Araullo University, graduating in 2004. She worked as a factory worker (2004–2005), and then served as a pharmacy manager from 2005 to 2009. Her strong organizational and interpersonal skills made her an effective leader in a healthcare setting.

However, her career path took a new direction when she moved to Taiwan in late 2009 to work as a domestic helper and caregiver.

Maria Divina Benabese Dela Cruz was born and raised in the quiet town of Angadanan, Isabela, in the northern part of the Philippines.

She finished her secondary education at Angadanan National High School in 2001. Like many young dreamers in her province, she had ambitions of earning a college degree and pursued a course in Computer Studies. Unfortunately, her college education was cut short due to financial difficulties. But what Divina lacked in resources, she made up for with determination and sacrifice. They are blessed with three children, now aged 16, 7, and 5, who serve as her greatest motivation. With a growing family and rising expenses, Divina made the life-changing decision to work abroad in hopes of giving her children a better future.

Her journey as a domestic helper began,

HONGKONG (2009 – 2011). There, she worked for a Chinese family in a large, three-storey, five-bedroom home. The household included a couple and their three children, ages 17, 15, and 5. She worked alongside two other maids, and together they managed the household chores and took turns looking after the children. It was her first experience abroad, and though the work was demanding, she embraced every responsibility with patience and grace. She lived with them in a 3-bedroom HDB flat and served as an all-around helper, doing all the household chores except cooking. Her primary focus was caring for the children, especially the infant, which further strengthened her skills in baby care.

HONGKONG (May 2016 – Dec 2017), she returned to Hong Kong, this time to assist an elderly couple aged 89 and 87. Though both were still mobile, they needed help with daily routines and maintaining their home. Divina shared the responsibilities with another helper, and together they made sure the elderly couple lived comfortably and safely.

Since returning to the Philippines, Divina has remained productive. While waiting for a new job opportunity in Singapore, she helps her husband with farm work and has started a small home business producing and selling dishwashing soap. She continues to be an example of resilience and creativity, always finding ways to support her family.

With over four years of international experience, Divina has grown confident in handling newborns, toddlers, and school-aged children. She is skilled in preparing meals, feeding, bathing, changing clothes and diapers, and providing age-appropriate educational activities. She also enjoys household work, especially cleaning and organizing. She can cook Filipino dishes and has picked up basic Chinese recipes, with a strong willingness to learn more, including other foreign cuisines.

In addition to her domestic skills, Divina is open to doing gardening, pet care, and car washing, if required.

Family is very important to Raquel, and she takes great pride in raising her children with love and discipline, while supporting her husband in providing for their household. Growing up in a rural community, Raquel learned early the values of patience, hard work, and responsibility, which she carried with her into adulthood.

In 2004, Raquel completed her secondary education at Lucban High School. Although she was not able to pursue college due to financial limitations, she chose to help her family and start working to support her younger siblings.

PHILIPPINES (2018 to 2020), she worked for a Filipino family living in a 3-bedroom, 2-storey house. The household included a couple and their 1-year-old child. Raquel served as an all-around helper—doing household chores such as cleaning, laundry, ironing, cooking, marketing, and most importantly, childcare. She was in charge of bathing, feeding, and playing with the child, helping him grow in a clean and safe environment.

SINGAPORE (October 2023 - Mar 2024), Raquel had the opportunity to work overseas in Singapore. She was hired by a Chinese family living in a 3-room HDB flat. The family had four children aged 16, 15, 10, and 7. There were two helpers in the household, and Raquel was mainly responsible for taking care of the two younger children. Her daily duties included childminding, laundry, ironing, marketing, and car washing. Unfortunately, her employment ended in March 2024 when the employer decided to relocate the entire family back to China.

With her years of experience, Raquel is confident in handling all household tasks. She claims to be good at keeping the house clean—a job that she is willing and happy to take on. She understands the importance of maintaining a tidy and organized home, especially in households with children.

She is also capable of performing childcare duties such as feeding, bathing, preparing school things, and playing with the children. In terms of cooking, Raquel is comfortable preparing Filipino dishes and simple Chinese meals. She is able to follow recipe books and is very enthusiastic about learning how to cook new foreign dishes.

Jenevie Baruela De La Cuadra is a 38-year-old, family-oriented woman with a strong sense of responsibility and a proven record of dedication in domestic work.

The eldest among four siblings, Jenevie naturally embraced the role of a caretaker early on.

Educationally, she completed her secondary studies at Northern Abra National High School in 2003, followed by a two-year Computer Secretarial course at the Data Center College of the Philippines, graduating in 2005. Gee’s work journey has taken her through various roles, both in the Philippines and abroad. She first worked as a Store Supervisor in a jean company from 1999 to 2000. Later, she moved to Thailand, where she gained valuable experience at a beach resort—serving as a Kids Club Attendant from 2008 to 2012 she supervised children’s activities and ensured a safe and enjoyable environment and planned and facilitated recreational and educational programs for the children. then transitioning to a Cashier from 2013 to 2015.

PHILIPPINES ( January 2025 – July 2025) , Gee accepted a deeply meaningful role as a full-time caregiver to a 75-year-old Filipino male elder. He required intensive, around-the-clock care, as he was dependent on a nasogastric tube (NGT) for feeding, an oxygen tank for breathing support, and a urinary catheter. Her primary focus was the comfort and well-being of the elder. She was responsible for monitoring his vital signs, managing his medications, and assisting with daily hygiene routines such as bathing, changing diapers, repositioning him to prevent bedsores, and ensuring a clean and safe environment around him. She also prepared special meals that complied with his medical condition, even though feeding was done through NGT—showing her attentiveness to proper nutrition and health standards.

Beyond the physical care, Gee provided emotional support and companionship during the elder’s final months. Though her employment ended sooner than expected, her dedication left a lasting impact on the family she served.

Through years of service and experience, Gee has become skilled not only in caregiving but also in household tasks, cooking (Filipino and Thai dishes), and childcare. She is confident in her abilities, deeply respectful, and always willing to learn.

Tri Yanti has 5 years of work experience in Singapore with 3 employers, completing 2 full contracts between 2011and 2017. Her husbandworks as a farmer. Tri Yanti wishes to work in Singapore again to support her child's education and help her familyfinancially. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and singing.

OMAN (June 2016 - Apr 2019) , Melissa began working as a domestic helper, where she was hired by an Omani family to care for two newborns (2016 & 2018) and managed household duties in a two-storey home.

DUBAI ( Aug 2019 - June 2025) where she served an Indian-Emirati family with five children (16,14,9,8 and a 3-month-old baby. She worked alongside another helper to manage childcare, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks — a role she fulfilled for nearly seven years.

Melissa is confident in caring for children of all ages and is skilled in cooking Filipino and simple Arab dishes. She is open to learning new cuisines and can follow recipes with ease. Rosita completed her secondary education at Ramon Torres National High School in 1999. She went on to pursue a degree in Business Administration but was only able to finish her first year due to financial difficulties. Her first overseas experience was in Lebanon (2005–2009), where she served a Lebanese family living in a 4-bedroom bungalow. She cared for two children, aged 12 and 8, and handled general household duties including cleaning, laundry, and simple cooking.

Rosita then moved to Hong Kong in 2009, where she worked with multiple families over the years:

From 2014 to 2018, she was employed by another Chinese family with two children aged 14 and 8. She handled childcare, laundry, cooking, marketing, house cleaning, and even car washing. With over 15 years of overseas experience, Rosita has grown to be a highly skilled and confident domestic helper.
