Baby Jane is a 37-year-old domestic helper in Singapore with experience in household management, cooking, childcare and elderly care. She cooks Chinese and Western dishes. Additionally, she is willing to perform other tasks as maybe required from the role.

In 2023, she had her first child and focused on raising him until he turned 3 years old. Now with her experience caring for newborn and infants, she is ready to work abroad again to care for a family so that she may provide for her own. 

May 2018 to May 2022. For a Chinese family of two adults and two elderly parents living in a four-bedroom, two-storey landed property in Singapore. Her duties included general household chores such as cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, cooking Chinese and Western dishes, pet care, gardening, and weekly car washing for three vehicles. Three months after her arrival, she took on elderly care responsibilities when the elderly male was diagnosed with cancer, while the elderly female was already living with dementia. She accompanied the elderly male to doctor’s appointments and chemotherapy sessions and assisted with daily care, including mobility support, bathing, diaper changing, administering medication, spoon-feeding, and preparing simple meals. Despite her caregiving duties, she continued managing the household and maintaining the garden, including watering plants and feeding fish in two ponds. She completed her contract.

Dec 2013 to Nov 2017. She worked for a Chinese family consisting of three adults (a couple and an elderly lady) and two children aged 9 and 15, living in a three-bedroom HDB flat. Her responsibilities included general household duties such as cleaning, grocery shopping, and cooking Chinese and Western dishes, as well as providing childcare support. For the children, she assisted in preparing their school essentials, prepared breakfast, managed school drop-offs and pick-ups, and accompanied them to playdates and activities. She prepared a variety of Chinese dishes including soups, steamed fish, stir-fried vegetables, braised pork, curry, laksa, wonton noodles, fried rice, congee, clay pot dishes, spring rolls, and roti prata, according to the family’s preferences. Her employment ended as the employer no longer required a helper.
