Her second employer was a family of three: Sir, Ma’am, and an 89‑year‑old Ah Mah who suffered from dementia. Selfi provided dedicated care for Ah Mah, assisting with daily needs such as bathing, feeding, administering medication, and offering companionship. She was attentive to Ah Mah’s condition, managing frequent forgetfulness and occasional tantrums with patience and always prioritizing her safety and comfort. In addition to caregiving, Selfi maintained the household, ensuring that the 3‑bedroom HDB flat with 2 toilets was kept clean and organized. Her responsibilities included laundry, ironing, and marketing. Under Ma’am’s guidance, she also learned to cook simple Chinese dishes and prepared daily meals for the family. She worked with this employer for 1 year and 1 month, until Ah Mah was admitted to a nursing home and her services were no longer required.
