She completed her secondary education at Castor Z. Concepcion Memorial National High School in 2008. Determined to enhance her skills in caregiving, she completed a Caregiving course in 2021 and obtained certification in Massage Therapy in 2019.

At present, she is looking for employment as on call caregiver while patiently awaiting the approval of her employment application for Singapore.

Lucena has gained extensive experience both as a domestic helper and caregiver locally and abroad.

Philippines from 2012 to 2014, she worked for a Filipino family in a 4-bedroom bungalow, where she assisted in childcare for young children, including an infant, and performed general household cleaning alongside other helpers. She was responsible for an 80-year-old female elder with Alzheimer’s disease and hypertension, assisting in daily activities and ensuring her comfort and safety. Her duties included administering insulin injections, monitoring vital signs, assisting with grooming, supervising medications, and maintaining the cleanliness of the patient’s environment. The patient was still mobile, and Lucena assisted with daily living activities, personal care, and companionship.

While she was in Qatar, she worked at a Home Care Center for a few months, where she was assigned daily to care for different patients, including those with cancer, stroke, bedridden conditions, autistic children, and infants.

With her wide range of experience, Lucena is confident in handling newborns, young children, and elderly patients with various medical conditions. She is knowledgeable in caregiving procedures such as feeding, bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, medication support, and vital signs monitoring. She is also capable of performing household chores and can cook Filipino dishes while being able to follow recipes easily.
