Experiences

2 years (Sep 2017 – Sep 2019) as a helper in Hongkong

Jacqueline worked in a bungalow with 3-bedrooms, 3-toilets, a living room and kitchen for a Chinese family of 6 with an 8- and 10-year-old, and she looked after their welfare. Daily she cleans and tidy the house, marketing, assist to prepare and cook dinner, laundry, ironing and folding.

Returned home, looked after her children welfare and applied to work in Hongkong.       

1 year (Oct 2019 – Oct 2020) as a helper in Hongkong

Jacqueline worked in a bungalow with 2-bedrooms, a toilet, living room and kitchen for a Chinese family of 4 with a newborn, and she looked after her welfare. Daily she cleans and tidy the house, prepare and cook for the family, do weekly laundry, ironing and folding. In all these, she learned to manage her work well. For her future employment, she hopes to learn and adjust to new culture and experiences.

Returns home, looks after her children welfare and seek new job opportunities.  

Cooking                   

She cooks Filipino dishes, keen to learn to cook Chinese and various other dishes. In Hongkong, she prepared and cooked basic Chinese dishes, such as  steam fish, steam pork, fried vegetables and soup dishes.

Childcare

She is keen to look after children/ infants, and she looks after her own since birth. In Hongkong, she prepared their milk and meals, washed and sterilized feeding bottles, bathed and changed with fresh clothing and diapers, dressed and get them ready for school, kept company and soothed them to sleep, accompanied them during night hours, attended to and assisted in their needs.

Elderly Care

She is keen to look after the mobile elderly.

Pet Care

She is keen to look after pets.

Hand phone

She will follow the employer’s instruction regarding hand phone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own hand phone after work hour. Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper; this will be stated in the Job Offer.

Off-day

The helper is entitled to 1 compulsory off-day per month and the other working off-days shall be compensated accordingly.

2 years contract

She is aware of the 2-year contract.
